Statnett
Statnett was digitalizing complex processes around the Norwegian power system. The work included creating a new digital application for FOS§14, replacing a process previously handled through letters and email, and developing a central portal for Statnett’s design system and visual identity. The two projects had different users and purposes, but shared a common goal: making complex information and processes easier to understand, navigate and work with.

Making complex information and processes easier to understand and use
The FOS§14 process involved extensive requirements and detailed information. Users found it difficult to understand what information was needed, what was expected of them and where they were in the application process. The Design System Portal
Had a different challenge by bringing Statnett’s design resources, visual identity and design system together in one clear and accessible place.

Methods & Exploration
UX Methods: Combined workshop facilitation, user research, user testing, information architecture, prototyping and iterative design.
Testing & Iteration
User Testing: Mapped and tested requirements, user needs, navigation and application structure through prototypes.
MVP: Developed an MVP in parallel with the full application, allowing users to upload and submit applications while the solution was being refined.
Iterative Design: Iterated on the digital application, forms and navigation to make the process clearer and help users understand what was required at each step.
Design System Collaboration: Worked with the design system team to develop and refine components needed for the application.
Design & Development
FOS§14: Designed responsive application and components for a complex digital application process.
Design System Portal: Mapped and structured content before designing a new portal for Statnett’s visual identity and design system.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Worked closely with the communications and design system teams throughout the design and development process.
Når enkelt ikkje betyr tydeleg
The FOS§14 process was transformed from a manual process into a structured digital application, helping users understand where they were in the process, what was required and when information was missing. The solution also enabled simulation of complex power system configurations and easier collaboration with stakeholders such as NVE.
The Design System Portal created a central entry point for Statnett’s visual identity, design system and related resources.
Together, the projects made complex processes and information clearer, more structured and easier to work with.
Små grep, tydelegare val
Continuous Improvement: Plan regular updates and enhancements to keep the website fresh and engaging.
Expansion: Explore additional features like personalized recommendations, customer reviews, and virtual room design tools to further enhance the shopping experience.
Resultatet
Through strategic planning, meticulous design, and cutting-edge development, we delivered an e-commerce website that not only met but exceeded the client’s expectations. This project highlights our ability to create impactful digital solutions that drive sales and foster brand loyalty in the competitive furniture industry.
